Who Are We?
Welcome to Titletown of America.
We are a family operated, full service real estate closing/title company. Our job is to handle all of the legal paperwork required to complete the sale of your property, whether it be a home, an office building or a vacant piece of land yet to be developed. That involves doing title searches to verify property ownership, providing title insurance to protect against any transaction errors, and filling out and processing all important legal documents required by the state for closing a sale.
Our History
While our name and branding may be new, we come from a 40 year heritage of real estate closing//title services, proudly serving clients in Jacksonville and throughout Florida. Our family’s law firm, Bernard and Schemer, has been in business since 1978 and has been doing real estate closing/title work for our clients since its inception. In 2021 we decided to spin-off our closing/title services practice to a separate entity to further distinguish and grow that portion of our business. When that transition occurred Titletown of America was born.

Since much of what we do is done “behind the scenes”, some may view title and closing work as a boring but necessary task required for their real estate transaction to be completed. We view it differently. Our business tagline, “Focused, fun. Deal’s Done.” is a good description of how we work for and with our clients every day. While we take what we do very seriously, we derive satisfaction from making the closing process a positive and worry-free experience for both the buyer and seller. And yes, we have fun doing it. We’d like to prove that to you the next time you sell or purchase a property.
Headed by myself, Josh Bernard, and my brother Sam Bernard, Titletown of America serves our clients from three Jacksonville area offices on the Northside, Fernandina Beach and in St. Johns County. Our team of closing professionals coordinates real estate transactions that are done on time, accurately, cost effectively and worry-free. And we maintain a close working relationship with our family law firm for those times when closing related legal issues arise that require specialized legal expertise and guidance.
